2nd Straight Walk-Off Has Yankees Moving On

The streets of New York were alive with celebration tonight after Yolian Cerce homered in the bottom of the 10th as the New York Yankees triumphed in the Wildcard Series over the Toronto Blue Jays, by a score of 5-4 at Yankee Stadium.

“Anything can happen in a one-game playoff, so you’ve got to feel fortunate you’re going on. We like our chances in the League Divisional Series too,” said Gary Sanchez, who led his team to victory by going 4 for 5 in the game.

“We know how tough it would be to lose a game like this for the other side, so we’re pretty fortunate to be on this side of things.”

The New York Yankees will play against the Oakland Athletics in the next round. Oakland had a bye in the Wildcard Series. The League Divisional Series schedule will be announced after the Wildcard Series finishes.
