A new NBA Champion was crowned last night. The New Orleans Pelicans brought home the O’Brien trophy on the back of Anthony Davis’ double double. The 24 year old power forward playing in his 5th season has been a dominate force in the playoffs after being named MVP of the league. He averaged 31.3 points 8.9 blocks and nearly 2 blocks per game in the postseason.
After the game Davis had this to say “I think getting this trophy, like I said, I wanted to do it for the home crowd, and I definitely did. I think the best part of tonight was definitely winning this trophy for sure.”
GM Patrik Lovberg was beaming at his young superstar and when asked if he thought the team could repeat next year said “We aren’t thinking about next year yet, we just want to savor this one and party like only New Orleans knows how!”
