With the White Sox getting off to a slow start, rumors are already swirling on the south side of the windy city. Clint Hurdle seems to be taking most of the blame for the slow start and front office sources are saying that his seat may be heating up. When asked about the rumors GM and President of Baseball Operations Jeff Copeland simply stated “Clint Hurdle is our Manager.”
Clint Hurdle didn’t even respond to the questions when asked in his post game press conference. Any time a reporter asked about the rumors he responded: “Next question.”
After adding payroll, specifically Jose Bautista, the White Sox expected more offensive output. 23 runs through 9 games was not what they had hoped for. Will the bats heat up and save Hurdle’s job? Only time will tell.
