Reshuffle in Calgary

Head Coach Phil Macioce is hoping the return of All-Star defenseman Mark Giordano and a shake up of the lines (let the AI choose and see if it works) will help his Calgary Flames stop their skid tonight against their arch rivals the Edmonton Oilers.

Giordano is returning form a cocyx strain (bruised ass?).
Salary cap issues have really hand cuffed Macioce as far as call ups go. Many young stars like Warren Foegele and Ian McCoshen are stuck in Stockton with some higher priced under achievers sitting above them with the parent club.

“This team has to get their (expletive) together soon or we many not even make the playoffs,” Macioce said in a press conference yesterday. The Flames spent most of the year atop the SSG Standings but have lost 8 of their last 13 and are now in second in the Pacific behind the San Jose Sharks.
