News and Notables from Week 4 in the SSGPFL
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Minnesota Vikings served notice to the rest of the league, as they remain the only undefeated teams after 4 weeks of action. Minnesota features the highest scoring offense in the league, with QB Teddy Bridgewater coming into his own while having the luxury of league leading rusher, Adrian Peterson. The Buccaneers, for their part, are a little harder to figure. They feature the leagues’ 28th ranked offense, from a yards gained perspective, and their defense is middle of the pack. Yet they rank #5 points scored and #7 in points against. Smoke and mirrors, or just good team football? Time will tell. We’ll definitely be keeping our eyes on these two teams in the coming weeks.
Players of the Week
QB Andrew Luck, Indianapolis Colts – Luck completed 22 of 32 passes for 270 yards, 3 TD’s and no interceptions, as the Colts handled the Denver Broncos 38-17 to notch their first win of the 2016 season
S Aaron Williams, Buffalo Bills – Aaron put in a stellar performance, recording 7 tackles, 4 assists, 4 passes defensed and TWO interceptions, one returned 40 yards for a TD. Williams helped his team to a lopsided 51-20 win over the Cleveland Browns.
